Strong currents pass through the area making for challenging yet rewarding dives within a healthy ecosystem which lives off what the currents bring. The main marine attractions here are Manta diving/snorkelling, exceptional coral and reef life, Pelagic fish, Dolphins and Whales. Komodo is also awesome for tiny marine creatures, nudibranch, crabs, Mantis shrimps and Blue Ringed Octopus to name just a few.

The Itinerary

DAY 1

Check In Boat

Begin your adventure by embarking from Labuan Bajo harbour  and boarding the vessel. The cruise leader will brief on boat safety, an overview of the trip, equipment set up and then settle into your accommodations. Upon arrival in Sabolon, you’ll have the opportunity to do a check dive. Before the dive,crew will outline the upcoming dive sites and safety protocols. This dive is designed to refresh your skills and ensure your comfort in the water. You’ll explore a nearby dive site, assessing your gear and diving proficiency. It is recommended to practice safety procedures such as deploying your SMB (Surface Marker Buoy).

DAY 2

North Komodo

Advance dive certification is required to dive in this area. Diving in North Komodo is a world-renowned experience, celebrated for stunning underwater actions. However, swift currents that create thrilling diving conditions makes it exciting.

DAY 3

Central Komodo

Diving in the central region of Komodo National Park offers a captivating and diverse underwater experience suitable for a wide range of skill levels. One of the highlights is Batu Bolong,a world-renowned pinnacle dive site with a “hollow rock” at the surface, known for its mind-blowing abundance of fish and pristine coral walls. Another highlight is Taka Makassar or Manta Point, famous for sightings of numerous manta rays, which use the area as a feeding and cleaning station. It’s a long, gentle drift dive over a sandy bottom. Visiting the iconic Pink Beach is also part of the day. Its striking, soft pink sand isa natural phenomenon caused by microscopic organisms called Foraminifera , which produce a red pigment on the coral reefs.

DAY 4

Padar

Padar Island offers a perfect blend of land and seaadventures, making it a mustvisit destination within Komodo National Park. The island is most famous for its challenging but rewarding hike to the summit, where a breathtaking panoramic viewpoint reveals a spectacular landscape of rolling, grassy hills and three distinct crescent-shaped bays with beaches of white, pink, and black sand. This iconic trek is often a sunrise or sunset activity to escape the equatorial heat and capture stunning photographs. Below the surface, the waters around Padar are a diver’s paradise. Strong currents sweep through the area, attracting an abundance of marine life, including manta rays and reef sharks, making for thrilling drift dives.

DAY 5

Rinca

Start your morning with a single dive in the pristine waters surrounding the island, where the currents and diverse marine life offer a thrilling underwater experience. While you’re exploring the reefs, the boat crew will begin the process of washing and carefully drying your dive gear, ensuring it’s ready for storage or your next adventure. Upon surfacing, you’ll head ashore for a guided trek on Rinca, venturing into its rugged savannah to encounter the legendary Komodo dragons in their natural habitat, all while being safely accompanied by a park ranger. Rinca Island, a key component of Komodo National Park, is a rugged and beautiful island known as one of the best places in the world to see Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. The main attraction is the trek through the island’s savannah and dry forest, where you can witness Komodo dragons— often seen lounging near the park’s ranger stations— as well as other wildlife, including wild pigs, water buffalo, monkeys, and deer.

DAY 6

Labuan Bajo

Disembark in Labuan Bajo Harbour. After breakfast we will assist guests to the airport depending on flight schedule or we will transfer to a hotel. For those staying in hotels, are able to relax on the boat until 10.00am.
