The Itinerary

DAY 1

Ambon sailing to Suanggi

Begin your adventure by embarking from Laha, Ambon Harbour and boarding the vessel. The cruise leader will brief on boat safety, an overview of the trip, equipment set up and then settle into your accommodations.

Upon arrival at the check dive site, the dive crew will outline the upcoming dive sites and safety protocols. This dive is designed to refresh your skills and ensure your comfort in the water. You’ll explore a nearby dive site, assessing your gear and diving proficiency. Afterwards, we will sail to Suanggi for approximately 16+ hours. Due to the long hours to reach Suanggi island, guests flying to Ambon are expected to arrive before 8 am or recommended to stay a night before in Ambon to avoid flight delays. As part of the sailing experience, expect a range of delightful boat movements from a small wobble to more adventurous waves.

DAY 2

Suanggi Island

After an overnight of sailing we welcome you to Suanggi Island, located 20 km northwest of Banda Neira. The boat will only go when the conditions are right. Currents can be strong yet we will be rewarded with dozens of fish and large predators such as Hammerheads, barracudas and dogtooth tuna.

DAY 3 & 4

Banda Neira

Banda Neira, a gem in Indonesia’s Maluku Islands, is a dreamy destination for travelers seeking pristine natural beauty, fascinating history, and rich marine life. Known as part of the famous Banda Islands, this small, tranquil island boasts white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant coral reefs, making it a haven for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. Visitors can explore historical landmarks such as Fort Belgica, a Dutch colonial relic, or walk around the traditional market for breathtaking views of the surrounding islands.

DAY 5

Hatta

Hatta Island, is renowned for its untouched white sand beaches and vibrant dive sites. The island’s crystal-clear waters host thriving coral reefs teeming with marine life, making it a dream destination for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. Popular dive spots like Karang Hatta offer stunning underwater landscapes filled with colorful corals, reef sharks, humphead, and countless tropical fish.

DAY 6

Manuk

Manuk is located in south Banda. The island is truly unique and famous around the world due to is incredibly large population of sea snakes. Most commonly seen is the banded sea krait.

DAY 7

Laha

Diving in Laha, Ambon, is internationally acclaimed for its outstanding muck diving experiences, featuring rare and camouflaged creatures such as Rhinopias (scorpionfish), frogfish, ghost pipefish, and a variety of octopus species (including mimic, blue-ringed, and wonderpus). The site showcases sandy slopes and jetty debris, making it a macro paradise perfectly suited for underwater photographers. The dives are shallow, rich in critters, and have minimal current, all while being part of the larger, nutrient-dense Ambon Bay, which is celebrated for its diverse macro life.

DAY 8

Ambon Harbour

Disembark in Laha, Ambon Harbour. After breakfast we will assist guests to the airport depending on flight schedule or we will transfer to a hotel. For those staying in hotels, are able to relax on the boat until 10.00 am.
